Matt Pharr

Rifle & Pistol Instructor

I joined the US Air Force after high school, while on active duty; I was stationed in Texas, North Dakota and Florida. During my Air Force carrier I obtained a Secret Security Clearance and earned the Air Force Achievement Medal. After completing my time on Active duty I transferred to the Air Force reserves where I became a first Aid instructor teaching the redeployment self aid buddy care course for the 70th APS. I placed 3rd in the Special Operations Command South Warrior Challenge, after moving to North Idaho I served with the Kootenai County Sheriffs Department (Jail Division.) During my time as a deputy I obtained training from the nations finest law enforcement officers in the following disciplines; Handgun, shotgun, empty hand defensive tactics, Oleoresin Capsicum, Taser, firearms retention, verbal Judo, and had the privilege of attending multiple in service training sessions. Firearms have always been my passion and I am consonantly working to improve my skills. During my time as an instructor, I became a Smith and Wesson certified Armorer, and Im excited to be continuing my education with the National Rifle Association in 2016. I look forward to growing as one of your instructors with Trigger Control Training.
